Villy Davilla joined Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou and Partners (“HP&P”) in 2018. She had previously worked in IP from 2006 to 2014. For a couple of years, she was dedicated in corporate law. She is a qualified lawyer, member of the Athens Bar Association.
She holds a law degree from the University of Athens and a Postgraduate Degree in International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Durham. She has successfully completed the EUIPO Trade Mark and Design Education Programme (ETMD EP). Since September 2021, Villy serves on the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization – OBI (the Greek IPO) Board of Directors.
Villy was introduced to the IP world at an early age. While she was studying Law, she begun working at an IP law firm, particularly on TM prosecution matters and customs seizures. As an attorney in said firm, she was focused on anti-counterfeiting cases representing significant international clients before the Criminal Courts and the local enforcement authorities. She now primarily focuses on drawing brand protection strategies, EUTM and international filing, prosecution and litigation cases and is assigned with the international TM portfolios of major domestic clients. She also deals with anti-counterfeiting cases, consulting and representing international clients, while she is often engaged in the drafting of legal opinions on all IP aspects.
In the WTR 1000 2024 Intellectual Property rankings, Villy is mentioned as a recommended individual, while in the Legal 500 2024 rankings she has been mentioned under other key lawyers.
She is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Greek (native language) and has basic knowledge of Italian.
