Despina Katsouli is an experienced attorney at law and certified specialist with more than 25 years in the IP practice.  She is member of the Athens Bar association since 1997 and she is admitted to practice before the Greek Supreme Court and the Council of State.

She holds a law degree from the University of Athens as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in European Law – Specialized Diploma in European Business Law from the Free University of Brussels (ULB, IEE).

Despina’s work focuses on trademark filing and prosecution, oppositions, revocations/invalidity actions and other legal and administrative procedures before the Greek Trademark Office and the Administrative Courts as well as to litigations before the Civil Courts. Furthermore, she handles various Intellectual Property related business transactions, such as IP recordals, assignments, licenses and pledges.

In addition, she provides consultation on all trademark and related matters. She represents clients from various sectors of industry, including but not limited to food and beverages with emphasis to winery & spirits, clothing, fashion, entertainment, personal care products and cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceuticals, IT and telecommunications, et al, and manages IP portfolios for domestic and international clients of all sizes. 

Furthermore, she has been ranked as a Recommended Individual in WTR 1000 Intellectual Property rankings from 2021 to 2024.

Despina is fluent in English, French and Greek (native language) and has basic knowledge of German.
